Improved processing for Ziegler/Natta (Z/N) type catalysts will reduce your costs.
Activity is stable and sustained without the typical decay seen in competitive products. This allows for a long reactor lifetime profile, making EPOC catalysts (Enhanced Polyolefin Catalysts) ideal for serial reactor systems since they will easier survive the combined residence of two reactors.
Improved Co-monomer Response
The excellent co-monomer response of our EPOC products is in itself a significant cost savings.
Less Co-catalyst Required
Co-catalyst requirements are much lower, in some cases less than 50 percent compared to competitive products.
With a bulk density approaching 430 g/l Designed Chemistry Z/N catalysts improve resin throughput by almost 10 percent compared to competitive products.
Less Static Buildup
With less static, sheeting and chunking issues are greatly reduced, thereby allowing for continuous production and lower maintenance costs.
Stable Operational Profile
Less spiking means stable operation giving the operator the ability to run closer to the design limits of reactor. Higher loadings again improve resin throughput.
Enhanced Polymer Properties
The ability to achieve a narrow molecular weight distribution (MWD) is another important feature. Typical flow rates ratio (FRR) for Z/N (Ziegler Natta) catalysts are in the 30 range. Out non-specific EPOC catalysts average 28 while higher end products approach an FRR of 25. If productivity is not critical our manufacturing process allows for FRR as low as 22. All achieved without using additives on ECHA’s SVHC list.
